Meet Your Voice

The voice is the oldest instrument of all, and the only one you always carry with you. Sound starts in the larynx, where two small vocal folds vibrate as air from the lungs passes between them. Your throat, mouth and nose then shape and amplify that buzz into the tone everyone recognises as your voice.
Good singing is a skill, not only a gift. Breath support, relaxed posture, resonance and clear diction can all be trained. With the right exercises your range grows, your tone becomes richer and you learn to sing with confidence and without strain.
