Terms and Conditions

These terms apply when you use the HarvArt Academy website, create an account or book a lesson with us. By doing any of these you agree to them. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.

1. Our lessons

HarvArt Academy, Istanbul, Türkiye, gives one-to-one lessons in piano, guitar, oud, violin, vocal, and drawing & painting. Lessons last 40–50 minutes and take place either in person at our academy in Istanbul or live online over Zoom.

2. Your account

• Give us correct details and keep them up to date.
• Keep your password private. You are responsible for bookings made from your account.
• One account per student. A student under 18 needs a parent or legal guardian, who creates the account, accepts these terms on the student’s behalf and is responsible for payments.
• Teacher accounts are created by the academy and are for teaching only.

3. Booking

• You book lessons through your account on this website.
• A booking is only confirmed once the academy approves it. Until then it shows as pending.
• All lesson times are shown in Istanbul time (UTC+3).

4. Prices, payment and credits

• Current prices are shown on our Pricing page: $20 (1000 TL) per lesson, the Monthly package (4 lessons) and the 3 Months package (12 lessons at a 15% discount).
• You pay in cash at the academy or by bank transfer before your lessons. We do not take card payments on this website.
• After your payment we add lesson credits to your account. Booking one lesson uses one credit, and you cannot book without credits.
• New students get one free trial lesson.
• Package credits are valid for [validity period] from the date of purchase.
• We may change our prices, but credits you have already paid for keep their value.

5. Cancelling and rescheduling

• You can cancel a lesson from your account up to 24 hours before it starts. The credit goes back to your account.
• If you cancel less than 24 hours before the lesson, or do not attend, the lesson counts as taken and the credit is used.
• If you are late, the lesson still ends at its scheduled time.
• If your teacher has to cancel, or the lesson cannot go ahead because of a problem on our side, we will reschedule it or return your credit.

6. Refunds

[Refund policy for unused credits — to be confirmed by HarvArt Academy.] Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502.

7. Online lessons

For online lessons you need a stable internet connection, a device with a camera and microphone, and the Zoom app. We are not responsible for lessons lost because of problems with your own connection or equipment. Lessons are not recorded unless the teacher and the student (or parent) agree in advance.

8. Behaviour

We expect students, parents and teachers to treat each other with respect. We may suspend or close an account in case of abusive behaviour, misuse of the website or unpaid lessons. At the academy, please follow our house rules. Parents are responsible for children before and after their lesson.

9. Content and materials

• The content of this website and the materials our teachers share with you are for your own personal study. Please do not copy, sell or publish them.
• When you upload files or send messages, you confirm that you have the right to share them, and you allow your teacher and the academy to use them for your lessons.

10. Results

Our teachers will do their best to help you progress, but results depend on each student’s practice and effort, so we cannot guarantee specific results or exam outcomes.

11. Liability

We provide the website and lessons with reasonable care. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for interruptions caused by events outside our control such as internet or power outages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. Changes do not affect lessons that were already confirmed.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Consumer disputes can be taken to the consumer arbitration committees (Tüketici Hakem Heyeti) or consumer courts. Other disputes are handled by the courts of Istanbul.
